Get Involved

We are all called to love and serve God and each other in many different ways. Here in the Masham Group of Parishes there are lots of opportunities to deepen our faith, share God's love with our communities and serve others. We aim to be Good News for our parishes and a loving, living, learning Christian community.

Children and Families

Children are as welcome as everyone else at all our services. They are not only the church of the future, they are well and truly a valued part of the church today, too! Our clergy regularly lead collective worship in the five primary schools in our parishes. There are many and varied activites that take place within our parishes that Children and their families can be involved in and take part in these include:   Pram Praise, Junior Choir, community plays, Family Services and seasonal activity sessions.
Pram Praise

In Masham church at 11am on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Stories, songs & rhymes for young children, parents & carers, with toys, tea, coffee and time to talk afterwards.
All Age Services

The All Age Service happens on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 9.15 am in West Tanfield and 10.45am in Masham

All welcome.

Community

Our Churches put on many services and events which are popular with the wider community, and we lend our support to what other groups are doing locally where we can. During Masham's celebrated annual sheep fair, we run a flower festival  throughout the weekend. Our own church events include coffee mornings, Christmas and Autumn Fairs, walks, Lent lunches and breakfasts, pet services, pub carol services, community plays, and much more. We also host concerts, exhibitions of flowers, art and photography.

Coffee Mornings in Masham. This group meets in Masham on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 11am and is designed to help people who have lost a spouse to gain confidence in going out socially once again.
