St. Nicholas at West Tanfield
Overview
The Church of St Nicholas lies at the heart of West Tanfield on an outcrop above the River Ure. With a choir, organ and bellringing team, the congregation at this church love to welcome newcomers and visitors alike.
SERVICES
Our usual pattern of services is Holy Communion at 10.45am on the 1st and 4th Sunday of the month, a Family Service at 9.30am on the 2nd Sunday, and Evensong on the 3rd Sunday of the month (at 4pm in winter months and 6.30pm in the summer). Children and staff from St Nicholas C.E. Primary School in the village help lead our monthly Family Service which is suitable for all ages, not just children!

West Tanfield is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire. The village is situated approximately six miles north of Ripon on the A6108, which goes from Ripon to Masham and Wensleydale. The parish includes the hamlets of Nosterfield, Thornborough and Binsoe
